Are you a fan of the hit TV Show Mad Men? Do you dig jazz music and show tunes? Would you enjoy sitting under the stars and listening to a two-time Grammy award winning musician? Then make plans right now to spend Saturday, 9/19/15 at the outdoor Solvang Festival Theater savoring the sounds of Mads Tolling and his merry Mads Men in concert. Helmed by Tolling on violin, the quartet also features pianist Colin Hogan, Sam Bevan on bass, and drummer Eric. Their program includes popular TV and movie themes from the 1960s—think “Meet the Flintstones,” “The Pink Panther” to “A Time for Us” and “Georgia on My Mind.” Mads hails from Copenhagen, was educated at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has played festivals around the world. His Grammy Awards were for Best Classical Crossover albums and he was nominated for his third Grammy this year. Mads is kicking off his new international tour right here in California’s Little Denmark. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $45 up to $100 VIP passes with pre-concert goodies plus an after-performance meet +greet with Mads & the Mad Men.
